Installation summary
All mounting systems, 360 panels, tray work, inverters, EPMs, and generation meters with CT clamps were successfully installed. The systems were commissioned and production-tested across all three arrays. We also captured complimentary before-and-after drone photography along with high-quality aerial footage, which the client and partner company used in their marketing materials.
Challenges & solutions
Relentless ice, storms, high winds and persistent rain in Andover during Oct–Nov 2025 created some of the most challenging conditions possible for rooftop solar installation. Through continuous dynamic risk assessments and close communication with, and sign-off from, our client, we safely managed the programme with only a three-day extension to the original schedule. Despite extended labour, additional mileage and an extra site visit, the project is completing just £600 above the original quote, which we consider a strong and fair outcome given the conditions.
There were also some technical challenges onsite that we resolved efficiently to avoid unnecessary cost. The 100A breakers originally ordered were not compatible with the existing distribution boards across all three systems. To prevent the need for full board replacements (approximately £600 each!) We instead installed compatible 100A connector blocks and fitted additional enclosures to house the 100A MCBs. This approach maintained compliance, ensured safe operation, and delivered a total saving of around £1,800 across the project.
