We design systems that meet current demand and scale as your needs grow. From small offices to commercial fleets.
Request a Commercial QuoteHow much does an EV charger installation cost?
For most residential homes, you’re looking at £900-£1,500 for a straightforward installation. Costs can increase if your consumer unit needs upgrading, there’s a long cable run involved, or groundworks are required.
Commercial pricing depends on the number of chargers, your power supply, and what civil works are needed. We provide site-specific quotes so you know exactly what to expect.
Government grants (2026-2027)
OZEV funding has been extended for a final year. Until 31 March 2027, five chargepoint grant schemes remain open, covering:
- Homeowners in flats and rental properties
- Landlords installing chargers for tenants
- Businesses funding staff and fleet charging
How We Work
We keep the process straightforward from first contact to final sign-off.
1. Site Survey
One of our engineers will visit your property to assess your electrical supply, consumer unit capacity, and the best location for your charge point. For commercial sites, we also assess grid capacity, cable routes, and any civil works required.
2. System Design
Based on the survey, we design a system tailored to your property and usage. This ensures the installation is safe, compliant, and scalable for future demand. You’ll receive a clear quote before any work begins.
3. Installation
Our qualified engineers complete all installation work in line with BS 7671 wiring regulations. We work efficiently to minimise disruption and keep you informed throughout the process.
4. Testing and Commissioning
Every installation is fully tested before completion, including earthing, circuit protection, and smart charging functionality where applicable. We ensure everything is working correctly before sign-off.
5. Certification and Handover
You’ll receive full certification and documentation, including your Electrical Installation Certificate. We’ll also guide you through using your system and any smart charging features.

A proper installation means running a dedicated circuit from your consumer unit, calculating your electrical capacity, ensuring the earthing is correct, and certifying everything meets current wiring regulations.
We install:
- Home chargers (7kW) – the most popular choice for overnight charging
- Workplace chargers (7kW-22kW)
- Rapid/DC chargers (50kW+) for commercial and fleet sites
- Smart chargers with scheduling, app control, and load balancing
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I install an EV Charger myself?
In short, no. EV chargers draw high electrical loads on dedicated circuits and must comply with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations, and the Smart Charge Points Regulations 2021. For safety, compliance, and to protect your warranty and insurance, installation needs to be carried out by a qualified electrician.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
For a standard home installation, most jobs are completed within half a day. More complex installations - such as those requiring consumer unit upgrades or longer cable runs - may take a full day. Commercial installations vary depending on the scale of the project, and we'll give you a realistic timeframe as part of your quote.
Do I need to inform my energy supplier?
For a standard 7kW home charger, you don't usually need to notify your energy supplier beforehand, though it's worth checking your tariff to make sure you're on the best deal for EV charging. For higher-power commercial installations, we'll advise you on any network notification requirements as part of the design process.
